Chaman Mein Rakht-e-Gul Se Tar Hai
Saman Hai, Sabza Hai, Bad-e-Sehar Hai

Dew‐drops glisten on flowers that bloom in the spring;
The breeze, the jasmine, and the rose have failed

Magar Hangama Ho Sakta Nahin Garam
Yahan Ka Lala Be-Souz-e-Jigar Hai

To raise the tumult of joy and liveliness,
For flowers here lack the spark and fire of life
