Thanks for you comments, May be you have not read her the way Allama Iqbal read her. Iqbal was moved by Quratul Ain’s image as a great lover. He thought that she could melt the hearts of even the soulless majority.
Well, I don't agree what Tahira believed, but we may respect her poetry.
I'm really surprised why everything be measured in religion, like there's nothing in world but religion ooh sorry, our religion. If so, why our society is become picture of immoral utopia, Poor Hyprocrats...
Iqbal was branded as a '' kafir'' in his life time. Rumi will meet the same fate if our illiterate fundo friends could read him. Nothing surprising in that. To quote Iqbal: " deen e mullah fi sabeel Allah fasaad".
QURATUL AINS POETRY MUST BE READ WITH DEEP PASION . AND EVALUATED WITH HEART AND MIND, YOU MAY DIFFER WITH HER DEPTH OF LOVE. GIVE IT AT LEAST ITS FACE VALUE. FAROOQ ALVI, LAHORE
