(Zarb-e-Kaleem-046) Taqdeer (Ablees-o-Yazdan )

Taqdeer
(Iblees-o-Yazdan)

Fate
(Satan And God)

(Iblees)
Satan

Ae Khuda-e-Kun Fakan! Mujh Ko Na Tha Adam Se Bayr
Aah, Woh-e-Nazdeek-o-Door-o-Dair-o-Zood

Oh God, Creator! I did not hate your Adam,
That captive of Far‐and‐Near and Swift‐and‐Slow;

Harf-e-‘Istaqbar’ Tere Samne Mumkin Na Tha
Haan, Magar Teri Mashiyat Mein Natha Mera Sujood

And what presumption could refuse to You Obedience?
If I would not kneel to him, the cause was Your own fore‐ordaining will.

Yazdan
God

Kab Khula Tujh Par Ye Raaz, Inkaar Se Pehle Ke Baad?

When did that mystery dawn on you? Before, or after your sedition?

(Iblees)
Satan

Baad, Ae Teri Tajalli Se Kamalat-e-Wujood

After, oh brightness whence all the glory of all being flows.

Yazdan
(Farishton Ki Taraf Deh Kar)

God (To His Angels)

Pasti-e-Fitrat Ne Sikhlayi Hai Ye Hujjat Isse
Kehta Hai, ‘Teri Mashiyat Mein Na Tha Mera Sujood’

See what a groveling nature taught him this
Fine theorem! His not kneeling, he pretends,

De Raha Hai Apni Azadi Ko Majboori Ka Naam
Zalim Apne Shaula-e-Sozan Ko Khud Kehta Hai Dood

Belonged to My fore‐ordinance; gives his freedom necessity’s base title;
—wretch! his own consuming fire he calls a wreath of smoke.

  1. Assalam o alaikum, I would ask the blogger, if there is anybody authority on kalam e Iqbal can be reached on internet? There are some poems with the poet name Iqbal but they do not seem to be of Iqbal. Whom to ask about them?
